Over recent years there has been increasing recognition of the importance of localisation of activities, including decision-making, leadership, resourcing, partnerships, implementation and monitoring and evaluation. This event will make space to learn from those who have experience in creating, running, and working with Community-Based Organisations (CBOs), and begin to explore some of the following areas:
- what is a CBO, and why does it matter?
- how to get started setting up a CBO
- different models/structure of CBOs
- challenges faced by CBOs
- funding and resourcing for CBOs
- communication within and with CBOs
- creating learning cultures within CBOs
- working with CBOs in healthy ways
- connections between CBOs and other existing community structures
- how CBOs are connecting with the SDGs
While we are very excited about this opportunity, we are still in the early stages of planning and would love to get your input. Is this topic interesting to you? What would you like the event to cover? Please click here to give us your initial thoughts.
