Thoughts from Isaac
We drove for three hours to arrive in the Tuguegarao airport, only to find our flight was cancelled. This airport in northern Luzon, Philippines is so small it has no luggage belt - just a couple benches for people to grab their checked bags from. It also has no radar which means in bad weather planes can't land. Since it's the height of the rainy season, we shouldn't be surprised that our flight was cancelled.
But we had to get back to Manila to catch our flight out of the country. *Sigh* Twelve hour bus ride, here we come.
I think it's important in situations like this to remember two things: I don't know everything, and God has a plan. Even though going on an impromptu overnight bus ride isn't fun, I have no idea what could have happened if our flight had not been cancelled. Maybe God used this inconvenience to keep us out of a situation that would have been dangerous.
Or maybe He just wanted me to have more leg room on the trip back to Manila. When my plans fall through, I try to understand how God is working. How have you been blessed by inconvenience? Leave a comment and share your thoughts.
